Eurovision and democracy - from Norway to Azerbaijan

We can think whatever we want about the democracy in Eurovision voting system but how about in the real world? The third global democracy index has been revealed and not surprisingly in the lead are the countries that usually top the global lists of the best places to live: Nordic countries with Australia and New Zealand. Is it a coincidence those two countries are also a bit Eurovision crazy?
